Hand Littlebird the window you are already looking at, for one message, by typing @ in the chat composer.
Type @ in the composer and Littlebird lists the apps you have open. Choose one and it reads that window for the message you are writing.
This is for the moment when the thing you need help with is already on your screen and describing it would take longer than doing the work. You are not summarizing the article, the spreadsheet, or the design. You are pointing at it.
Attach a window
- Type @ in the composerLittlebird lists the apps you have open, most recent first.
- Pick the window you mean
Each app shows its window title beside its name, so you can tell one browser tab or open file from another.
- Write your message
The app appears as a chip in the composer. Ask your question as you normally would.
The attachment lasts for that one message. Nothing is added to your ongoing context, and nothing changes about what Littlebird collects the rest of the time.
What to use it for
Read something long and tell me what it means for me. The value is in the second half of that sentence. Littlebird already knows your projects, your calendar, and your recent work, so it can tell you what a document changes rather than just what it says.
Work on the file that is open. Point at your editor rather than pasting code into the chat.
Draft the reply in front of you. Littlebird can see the thread you are looking at, so the reply lands in context.
Turn a table into something you can say out loud. Useful right before a call.
Compare two windows
Attach more than one app in the same message and Littlebird holds them side by side. This is the fastest way to answer a question that lives in the gap between two documents.
Apps you have excluded
Apps you have added to exclusions still appear in the menu, in a separate Attach an excluded app section.
That is deliberate. An exclusion stops Littlebird watching an app in the background. A mention is you handing over one window, once, on purpose. Keeping them separate means you can exclude your password manager or a private chat app permanently and still show Littlebird a single window from it when you choose to.
